Monday Morning
Today will be our last full day at Maui Memorial Hospital, we leave Tuesday morning for Oahu. Yesterday Daniel enjoyed the company of some friends who visited from Hope and Calvary. We had him sitting up for three hours straight so he should be ready for the trip tomorrow. For the first time he walked across the room unassisted and his balance is gradually improving. Last night Chris and Daniel both slept pretty much through the night which is a tribute to the nursing staff here being as quiet as possible as they came into the room. I am not making this up - he said he couldn't wait to get back to school AND work, pretty sure the translation of that is not emphasising work or academics, but hanging with friends-we'll see. We will start being specific in our prayer request from Oahu as the rehab develops-I hope I have communicated the way in which we covet your prayers, they are more precious than anything to us as we ask God to bring Daniel to full recovery. To maximize the blog, I want to suggest that if any of you are wanting prayer for anything put it in the comments section and I'll bet more than a few of us will lift you and your circumstances up to the Lord! Craig, Chris, Caitlyn and Daniel,
You have been such a testimony of God's Amazing Love, Strength and Grace. You so have represented Christ through all of this and that has touched our hearts in ways that are inexspressble. We continually prayer for your family and for Daniel's complete recovery. We love you guys very much!

We were so encouraged to read and hear about Daniel's recovery and all the ways God has had HIS hands on him and the victories along the way. We have been praying so much for your family and that God would sustain you with HIS strength, comfort, peace, and love during this difficult time. We will be praying for you as you head over to Oahu for rehab tomorrow. Kit said you were at church, but I didn't see you to give you hugs, so I am sending some hugs in here for you now! SQUEEZE! :)

I can only agree that you have been a testimony to God's love and even now as you suggest people enter their prayer requests in the comments. My prayer is that God is going to strengthen Daniel and that the rehab will be wonderful with Daniel responding in ways that his therapists will not even believe. Our God reigns.
